Why this camp?

  • The whole camp will be focused on Gi Jiu Jitsu, helping you improve your game.
  • Train twice a day, surf between sessions, spend a week in the Caribbean with a small group.

  • The camp is held by Tribu in a beautiful beach area called Encuentro Beach, near Cabarete, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic.

  • Everything is taken care of. You just show up and train.

Dominique Bell

Dominique “Dubious Dom” Bell is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo black belt, elite competitor, and highly respected instructor. His accomplishments include IBJJF World Champion, World No-Gi Champion, 2x European Champion, and Pan Absolute Champion, with multiple major podium finishes at black belt.

Known for blending high-level Jiu-Jitsu with Judo, Dom is recognized for his technical approach to takedowns, guard work, passing, and positional control. Today, he continues to compete, teach, and share his knowledge with grapplers around the world.

What do you get to do in the camp?

Here’s a peek at the fun and training you’ll do:

  • Practice BJJ — One to two Gi sessions a day.
  • Surfing lessons, riding waves at Encuentro Beach.
  • Horseback riding adventure through rainforest and rivers.
  • Yoga and mobility session to stretch, relax, and recover.
  • Daily breakfast and healthy and tasty dinners as welcome and farewell.
  • Time to relax — by the pool, on the beach, and with fun bonfires at night on the beach.

Where do you stay?

  • Camp participants stay at a place called Surf One, a cozy retreat center just a short walk from the beach.
  • There are shared rooms and private rooms depending on what you choose.
  • Everything you need. Training, meals, adventures, is planned for you, so it’s easy and friendly.
